Children across the country are going without food and other necessities year round, but there is something you can do about it – build a Kid’s Stuff Shoe Box Gift and we’ll deliver it for you!

Here’s how to build your own:

* Find an empty shoe or boot box;
* Decorate the box using pens, stickers or wrapping paper;
* Please make sure to wrap the lid separately from the box;
* Fill the box with a variety of any new gift and personal care items, depending on the type of box you want to make – suggestions are below;
* On top of EACH shoe box lid, please indicate what type of box it is by adhering a label indicating “Tiny Blessings Box,” “Kid’s School Days Box,” or “Kid’s Holiday Box” (holiday boxes only accepted July through September);
* Mark the lid for a boy or girl

Types of Boxes

Three different types of boxes can be made:

• Tiny Blessings Box: For babies and toddlers

What types of items to include: bottles, receiving blankets, nipples, burp clothes, pacifiers, rattles, stuffed animal, sleepers, onesies, socks, baby soap, washcloth, towel, shampoo, lotion, baby brush and comb, diaper rash ointment, cotton balls and baby fingernail clippers.

• Kid’s School Days box: For pre-school and school-aged children

What types of new items to include: stuffed animals, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, rulers, notebooks, crayons, markers, paper, glue sticks, blunt scissors, construction paper, writing tablets, math compass, calculators, folders, soap and washcloth, brush and comb, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, socks, gloves, hats, hair accessories and facial tissue. Please no candy, gum or food.

• Kid’s Holiday Box: For youth of all ages

What types of items to include: balls, stuffed animals, plastic tumbler cup, water bottle, Silly Putty, books, games, puzzles, flashlight with extra batteries, plastic figurines, dolls and accessories, toy cars, dress up accessories e.g. jewelry, purse, shoes, shampoo, washcloth and soap, brush and comb, facial tissue, toothbrush and toothpaste, socks, gloves and caps.

A $7 dollar donation delivers 50 pounds of food to 1 hungry American child in one month. Let us send several pounds of food a month to our children.

On Friday, 6/19/09, I was invited to be apart of “LIGHTS! CAMERA!…I DO WANT TO BE FABULOUS, DIVA DAY OF FUN” at the Spark Center in New York City by Alba’s Exclusive Events.

There was a small but very reasonable charge to attend this event. Proceeds was donated to the Beauties On The Go Teen L.U.V.E. Program.

I had a fabulous time. Great networking with all these great women. We snacked and laughed. We treat ourselves and our divas within. This event had the perfect title. $30 well spent for all the things we got to do plus priceless networking. I look forward to my next event.

• Beauty Makeovers at our Makeup Bars By Artis Di Faccia. Kelly was awesome. She took before and after pictures. She got personal with “the victims” in the chair. LOL. She asked what they wanted or was looking for and she did that exactly. She wasn’t one of those artist that said “well you know you look like this… or I see you with this…”. I highly encourage here. She also does Mary Kay if anyone was interested. Thank you Kelly. I don’t like make-up but it came out awesome and I loved it. Simple – me.
• Eyebrows by Elke: Elke was amazing. I overheard someone ask, “What makes you an eyebrows specialist?” I wish I heard the answer but I experienced it myself. I sat on her high chair under the light like I was being interrogated, “So tell me your eyebrow story?” LOL. She was great. Very personable, and talked to you while she was working on you. She asked questions about me personally, about what I do, and my brows. I loved that it was just not about brows or silence. Very easy to talk to. She gave be fab tips about my brows since I am one of the lucky ones to have two different eyebrows so they can never look the same. I have only waxed twice in my life. I only thread now because of my paranoia. She did my eyebrows with just a tweezer in about 5 minutes. No pain what so every. Very fast and again gave me tips on my fraternal eyebrows. She is located in NYC and Brooklyn. She is well worth the price. What women do for beauty, right? If you are like me and your eyebrows take three months to grow and in scattered areas here is a TIP from Elke: Scrub your eyebrows everyday for two weeks to massage and exfoliate the skin and stimulate the hair follicles. Thanks for the tip. Lets see if I can get these eyebrows back into shape.
• Photo shoots By M Wild Photography. I la la la loved Michelle’s Work. She is very gifted and talented. Has great visionaries and taste in art. Her portfolio is Wowzers! I will be definitely booking a shoot with her. I enjoy her Erotic Photography very much. She makes all women of shapes and sizes feel sexy, confident, comfortable, and most importantly themselves.
